I'm 19 years old, I've lived in California all my life. When I was very young, my grandparents would take the whole extended family on grand vacations in the tropics, and I think I fell in love with the jungle. I want to travel to Peru, Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica (again), Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Nepal, basically anywhere there's a jungle or a mountain.

As a student, I don't have a lot of money or time to make it. It'd be a great way to meet locals where I'm traveling, and to not get sucked into tourist culture, which can be very damaging to some of the places I want to visit. I want to respect that these places are peoples homes, not my playground.
