I'm quite new to couch surfing but not to travelling, I've been around Europe and Asia, as well as some South American trips and a bit more! Hitchhiked from Greece to Italy, including sleeping at petrol stations, parks, abandoned huts filled with spiders, walking many kilometres in the soaring heat and pouring rain.
