COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE I like the idea of sharing. Especially when both "sharing-parties" seem to profit of it, as it is the case when couchsurfing. The host meets an interesting person who sometimes can show his or her own city from a very different angle. And the guest enters the new city by meeting a local, who knows everykind of local stuff. AND: Often two different kind of people meet, wich otherwise would not have met which is a brillitan thing I think. I think it is very important to meet very different people and not always be surrounded by the people which are allready so similar to you. That is also why I am hitchhiking a lot.
