I played volleyball for 14 years. At 19 I started playing violin (a bit late, I think). I did two Interrail trips around Europe. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering and a Double Master's Degree (Data Science in France, ICT in Italy). I work during the week and I like to have quiet days at the weekend. I might join some events like concerts (see my music section) and any kind of activity related to nature. What I think about me: - calm - curious - tidy - kind - altruist - healthy - with some prejudice (who does not have one) What my friends think about me: - calm (maybe because I don't drink coffee) - too sober (I don't like alcohol, but I made exceptions in the past) - sometimes too meticulous (engineer mindset, I guess) What makes me happy: - riding a bike - eating a real Italian pizza on Saturday night What makes me really happy: - riding a bike in the rain or at night with empty streets - eating a real Italian pizza and then a proper gelato on Saturday night Topics I like to talk and learn about: - Music - Extreme Sports - Traveling - Finance and Business - Cooking - Science and Technology - Politics What I expect from a guest: - Respect - Politeness - Altruism - Cleanliness - Share, at least, the cost of food - To leave a reference (critics are welcome) It's a plus if you: - are social and funny - have fluent English - eat healthy In case you want to know more: https://matteoromiti.github.io/ PHILOSOPHY Many small people who in many small places do many small things can alter the face of the world EXTRA As I am a curious person and I work in data science, I started to keep track of how many people I host. Maybe in the future, I'll add more information. Male couchsurfers I hosted so far: 15 Female couchsurfers I hosted so far: 18 I'll try to keep these two numbers as balanced as possible. If you send me a couch request, please include in your message a peculiar fact of your hometown or country. Example: I'm from Ancona and the name comes from the Greek word Ankon (elbow) because it is situated in a geographical position that looks like an elbow. This will help me understand how careful couchsurfers are when choosing a host, but also because I'm curious about your origin. I added this extra section on May, 1st 2018. From that day I received 106 couch requests and 41 of them included a section about the hometown. If you are curious, I report in "My Home" section all the messages about the cities I received so far.
