My name is Othmane Zolati, I’m 28 year-old Moroccan adventurer, explorer, and filmmaker. I’m the Director and Executive Producer of the award winning documentary film "Africa and I". My adventurous four-year journey through 24 African countries traversed the four corners of the continent on foot, bicycle, and skateboard. By making this documentary film, I shared my experiences of how I achieved this lifetime dream of exploring this vast continent. Through this, I hope to inspire and encourage others to chase their own dreams, and to clarify their perceptions of Africa by sharing what few people ever see or fully experience: the exotic beauty, thrilling diversity, incredible hospitality, and ultimate humanity of this continent. After this adventure around Africa, I embarked on another journey around Türkiye on a bicycle in the middle of winter and I’m currently making my second documentary film called "Türkiye and I". After this adventures, I crossed the Atlantic on a Sailing boat (41ft Catamaran) from Capetown, South Africa to Houston, USA. A journey that took us 70 days in the ocean. • I been recognized and awarded as one of the world’s best travelers at the Dubai Travelers Festival in 2017 as well as the 2018 Adventurer of the Year at Morocco Adventure Film Festival. • I received an award for the best documentary film at Pan African film festival, an Oscar qualifying film festival in Los Angeles. Also I got to the final of Portland film festival in San Francisco. • I have presented numerous photo exhibitions in Morocco, South Africa, and Dubai from 2017 until the present. • I filmed & directed my own documentary film which was bought and streamed by Showmax / MNet.
