CURRENT MISSION 2017 roadtripping by car and motorcycle. ABOUT US I am an introvert and proud of it. I am an easy going open minded kind a guy. I have a degree in automotive engineering, but today my professional life is that of an auditor / financial controller. Annemiek is my life partner, my wife, and a bit of an extravert. She is the artistic one: she is a musician, singer songwriter and a painter. We have two grown up kids ( a son and a daughter), and a grandchild. Besides all that we also have a dog, we don't know what race but probably some kind of a mixture between dachshund and stafford. PHILOSOPHY To live and let live. Don't judge easily, investigate if necessary. Remember: the person who is always right does not exist.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE My experience with couchsurfing? Not that much but I think it is a wonderful way to get around on your travels and meet new people.
Musica, film e libri
I like all sorts of music, rock, blues, classical, reggae, dance, you name it, I'll probably like it. I can't play any instruments, that's where Annemiek jumps in. I have a weakness for the movie Close Encounters Of The Third Kind. Annemiek hates that movie, specially that scene where the main character is making a mountain out of mashed potatoes.

My thoughts, my philosophy
I miei interessi
I have a broad interest in many subjects. I love archeology, history, science. I have an interest in what's happening in the world. I like to read books and of course traveling (of course I have red Jack Kerouac's On the road). I write articles about history and about my travels. Annemiek and I have traveled in many European countries, in India and Nepal, South America and New Zealand. I did some solo traveling in Iceland, Russia, China and Southern Africa. I like to ride my racing bicycle and my motorcycle. I did some offroad tours through Iceland, South Africa and Namibia. Together with Annemiek (she not being a motorcycle rider), we like hiking in the mountains and forests. Besides english, german and of course dutch, I speak a bit of french and spanish. I have even studied russian years ago for a while, but now I have forgotten the most of it :)
