I am a retired Fire Officer who just loves a challenge. In July 2017 I cycled solo from the Gold Coast to Townsville (1800km) via the inland route. From April 2018 I am undertaking another solo ride from the Gold Coast to Uluru ensuring wherever possible I ride on dirt roads or secondary roads. This will mean long stretches without a town and stretching out whatever food and water I carry.
