ABOUT ME Over the years I have been doing a variety of things, from teaching and training tour guides to growing veggies and herbs, making beer, bread and cheese, renovating an old traditional courtyard house in the Himalayas. Lived and worked in Tibetan borderlands of southwest China, Myanmar (Burma), Ireland, and Bali. But since 2020 I have been living back in New Zealand in Christchurch. Renovating older house. Apologies for delayed responses but we may not be able to host as much as we moved to a new location and Cody has started a new job. Cody and I have been together for 8 years; moved to NZ for the nature and lifestyle that aligns with our many outdoor hobbies. He is from Arizona, I am from Utah. Travel to every country in the world and see and do everything ;) ABOUT ME *** I hate that I have to write this and add to my profile after so long on CS. 1. I am married happily. Although I often travel solo, I am not looking for hookups. This is CS not tinder. 2. CS is a community, not a free hotel. It is about making connections and learning from each other. Therefore, you do need to make at least some time to communicate with your host(s). Share your life, stories, experiences, a meal for example. 3. I will not consider stay requests more than 2 weeks in advance. I barely know what I am doing tomorrow let alone 3 months in advance. I know this sounds blunt and I really dislike having to say this but it appears from my requests lately that the above are no longer considered CS gospel by the people who are contacting me. All said with love and caring. And now back to my actual bio... ;) I am a young at heart person who lives with her partner and 4 legged humans/dogs Buddy, I didn't name him he was a rescue ;). But he is the best buddy a girl could have, and Magus who is so named because he is magical and always makes me smile and Oberon who technically is a cat but thinks he is a dog. I have just finished my PhD. and am trying to travel as much as I can and see and do as much as I can. I love experiencing the local life wherever I go as well the obvious touristy stuff. Sorry in advance if I have to decline your request - I'm getting a lot of requests at the moment. Anyway... I would describe myself as being open minded, independent, social, honest and respectful. I'm very active, I like hiking and going to the gym. I love meeting new people, any kind of music and to go out dancing. I love to travel and have been a tourist in my own country (New Zealand) by living in a van and touring the country for 3 months. I did this before my first big overseas trip in South East Asia. I've since been to Europe too and have an endless list of places I hope to see one day. I love experiencing different cultures and meeting new people.
