X-Gen, a generation not much talked about. Psychologically: An INTP according to Myers–Briggs: https://www.verywellmind.com/intp-introverted-intuitive-thinking-perceiving-2795989 Friends' feedback: Slow, pensive, reliable, helpful, aloof, easily satisfied, independent, low maintenance, rather into face-to-face and intimist than groups (INTP!), bookworm, coffee lover, language buff, not a good cook but thanks for inviting me over Personally subjective: A regular, middle class single white old man with a 9am to 8pm corporate office job to pay my monthly rent, utility bills and taxes. You know, all the amenities you will (hopefully) find useful when surfing my couch: the roof over your head (rent), the warm shower (utility bill), and public transport (taxes). I therefore look at my life as a long-term investment in CouchSurfing, which makes it less miserable to be a middle class tax and bill payer. Real and objective: your impressions and perceptions after we meet My Philosophy What I believe(d) in: Heaven and Hell In my late teenage years I turned into a fervent, born-again Christian (Pentecostal, then Adventist), on a mission to convert people to Jesus. Mission not accomplished. Sapere aude! In my early twenties I started to read Nietzsche and all that Gay Science. The closet crashed after a transition period when I was a sinner on weekdays (preying on Men) and still a saint on Sundays (praying to God). Then I asked the Lord to leave me for good so I could turn into a full-fledged hedonist without having to confess every other day (so tiring). My rumspringa years. Good memories. Love and Travel In my late twenties, early thirties, a first midlife crisis hit me hard. Who am I, what's the purpose of my life? This is when I fell truly and unexpectedly in love and spent a few happy years in a relationship. Enjoyed, shared, traveled, discovered. All framed by love, good food, and fresh air. Simplicity and Altruism In my mid thirties I felt the need to simplify my life, get rid of material and mental clutter, to become a simpler human being. God shook hands with Nietzsche, my (s)pacified psyche made room for multiple realities. I needed less, gave more. This seems to be a biological drive and usually the time when people start having kids. I joined the CouchSurfing family instead. Pampering guests, not changing pampers. Less smelly. What's next? I don't know. The show of my life and the ride on the roller coaster must go on. All these years, books and people have offered constant drama and delight, plus some wonderful memories and companionship.

🚂 I live in Geneva but also travel to Germany pretty often to share moments with my partner. So my couch is usually free only from Monday night to Thursday morning, for women. ABOUT ME I like the smell of fresh cut grass and mint leaves, wooden furniture, carrots, cakes, walking barefoot, cashew nuts, laughing, herbal tea, Moroccan fritter, dreams, ginger, raw food, fresh lemon juice, desert beaches, camping, water drops, falafels, live music, sitting along a river, picnic in parks, hummus, bees, honey, the sound of my shoes while walking in the forest, peanut butter, chia seeds with banana and coconut milk, intermittent fasting, hiking, Yoga (Yin, Nidra) and more! I am a loner. But no worries, I enjoy a lot being with my friends, family and ... most certainly you! I don't talk much when I wake up! LGBTIQ friendly. We're all one. I usually stop at the red light and wait for the green. If you never do it, give it a try, it's refreshing! I worked for some tour operators booking tours and hotel's rooms; also worked at the intellectual proprerty department of a Swiss watch company, used to be an assistant for a US lightning company, helped expats to find a house/flat during their short or long stay in Geneva, also worked for the State of Geneva dealing with landowners of the area. Always moving on to new working environement to keep learning. Currently at university of Geneva as a Human Ressources administrative assistant. Clubbing and very fancy restaurants are a mystery to me. However I enjoy having a glass of wine or a warm ginger-lemon drink while sitting along the lake, in bars round the corner or at home. PHILOSOPHY Be natural. ☆ Everyday a new story begins. ☆ Getting angry?! What for? ☆ Joy and magic do exist, and you may find them in everything, everywhere. Look at what you do, eat, read, share, with a joyful open mind, let life surprises you in little things, be gentle with yourself, allow the magic to happen and laugh/smile as often as you can. ☆ I learned a lot with this sentence: "We do everything either by love or fear.".
