About me: 👋 Hi there! I'm Gary, an easygoing and friendly person who loves meeting new people from all over the world. Though I'm a bit older, I'm young at heart and always up for some fun and good conversation. I'm caring, considerate, and respectful, always making sure everyone feels welcome and appreciated. Looking forward to sharing great experiences and creating lasting memories together! I generally avoid making rules because Couchsurfing should be built on mutual respect and consideration. I expect this from every guest I host, just as I live by these principles when I’m a guest myself somewhere. However, due to some recent experiences, I would like to share a short list of guidelines for staying with me: 1. Please send a personal request mentioning why you would like to stay with me. 2. Let me know your approximate arrival and departure times, and how long you plan to stay. 3. I am very generous until I feel exploited. So please, don't be a freeloader and don't take everything that is offered to you for granted. Couchsurfing is about sharing, so please try to give something back. 4. Keep things tidy, stay polite, and make yourself at home!

Hey lovely people <3 I’m Carola/Caroline/Carolina, a fellow human meandering through what life has to offer. In my experience, all the good things in life have a common denominator: a wild sense of awe. I found this sense of awe in crazy science facts, marvelling at the beauty of art and nature, contemplating the mystery of my existence and letting my heart be broken open. So I study, travel and believe in the inherent goodness of humanity! When I travel I try to only use couchsurfing. It’s just such a heartwarming feeling to be in an actual home. I’ve made amazing friendships and also met my beloved partner through couchsurfing, so I know how well it can pay off to trust „random strangers“. I also hitchhiked a bunch in Europe, Asia, Africa and also sailboats. One of my recent adventures was hitchhiking the Karakoram Highway from China to Pakistan. I studied photography and computer science. I absolutely loved studying photography. It opened my eyes to a whole different universe and made me want to study other fields of arts as well. While I also liked computer science, I decided to leave this career path to study something that’s closer to the human experience plus I wanted to walk home with the feeling of having been of actual help to someone. So I decided to study midwifery. When I’m not travelling, studying or working, I try to fill my time with art projects, all kinds of sports and classical piano which I play since I’m three years old. So yeah :) Looking forward to meeting you all! I like people from all of walks of life as long as they’re kind and not lonely weirdos looking for a date!
