My husband and I are mostly retired, spending a lot of our time traveling to visit aging parents (not so fun) and university aged daughter in Spain (super fun). We do a lot of house swapping and pet sitting and have had great experiences, curious about the couchsurfing community.

I live in St. Augustine and I love to travel. I have a service dog, named Captain Petey, he is a small and so smart. I hosted couchsurfing in st augustine way back before air bnb happened and hosted dozens of guest. The pic with the group is a couchsurfing group- we had a fun raid in my house, with a dozen surfers staying. I have a chess club called, the cheesy chess club, i teach if you want to learn and i have a business as well, i marry people, and do guided tarot,, aka its more like therapy. I am happy to read for you from the cards, teach you chess, or cook a meal or just visit while i am traveling. I am currently in Maine until august 31st.

I grew up in northern Maine, graduated from college and then started a career in politics, moved to southern Maine, Philly and then at the beginning of the pandemic to Western Maine. In 2020 I got out of politics and started an art project with my partner, Reed, and a friend, it quickly snowballed into us buying a snowshoe factory and now we are renovating it into an art and community center. I love food, hiking, kayaking, cross country skiing, and am a wonderful guide of western Maine and Portland. My Partner Reed and I are both great cooks and love to entertain.
