A few years ago, I hit a point where I honestly wished for death. I felt stuck, like every dream I had was blocked by a wall too big to climb. I was alone, lost, and everything felt out of reach. But something in me kept fighting. Slowly, I started pushing back. I survived things I never thought I could, and now, I fight for life. These days, I wake up with hunger for growth, for experience, for connection. I’ve been through a lot, some of it painful, some of it wild, but I don’t regret any of it. Every part of the journey shaped me. I grow so fast now that sometimes I read something I wrote last month and think, “Who was that?” I don’t even recognize the old version of me. Couchsurfing came into my life during this time of change. It quickly became more than just a travel tool, it became a source of light. There’s something special about Couchsurfers. They have this rare openness and depth. Even though I didn’t get the chance to host in Bloomington (a tiny college town), I’ve recently moved to Orlando and I’ll take my sweet revenge 😅. I find joy in the little things; walking without a destination, dancing with strangers, getting lost in new cities, and having real conversations. Tattooing is one of my biggest passions. It’s not just about art, it’s about trust, connection, and leaving something meaningful behind. I’m still learning and growing, but I’ve come a long way from where I started. And now, I live for the moments that make me feel truly alive. If we cross paths, I hope we share something real; whether it’s a story, a laugh, or just a peaceful silence.🥰
CURRENT MISSION To travel around the Americas as much as possible. ABOUT ME I have been very active on Couchsurfing while in Europe and also in India. I am a simple and friendly person. I can host occasionally now perhaps when you visit. So feel free to check with me. Currently living in Orlando, USA PHILOSOPHY Share what you have with others even if it is in a small way
Data engineer based in Orlando, originally from Ithaca. I've been moving around long enough that "settling down" still feels like a working theory. The thread through all of it: Southeast and East Asia in my early 20s (Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Malaysia, Japan, Korea, China), growing up in upstate NY, years scattered across Los Angeles, Michigan, and Texas, a year and a half in Brazil with trips around Latin America, and now Florida. I majored in Southeast Asian Studies and it shaped how I move through the world. I'm more interested in how people live than where the tourist sites are. When I travel or explore somewhere new I'm looking for regional food, street food, murals, local slang, and honest conversation. Museums and art galleries too when they stand out. My philosophy hasn't changed much: give a damn about others, don't waste your life working for its own sake, put yourself in other people's shoes as often as you can, and lend a hand when you're able. Movies, biking, good food, good drinks — all sound good to me. New to Orlando but learning it fast. Happy to explore it together.
CURRENT MISSION To open for Coldplay by 2030 with my (future) band. IDEAL GUESTS Travelers who are mindful, fun, and enjoy cooking together. ABOUT ME My Couchsurfing experience started when I was walking in Central Park, NYC, and saw a group of happy and giddy people. It turned out they were CSers doing a meetup for a summer concert. That night, I went home, created my profile, and started hosting in my NYC studio. Fast forward some years, happily I tell friends that some of the best moments in my life happened through couchsurfing. Experiences in hosting, being a guest, hiking, camping, meditating, partying, and sharing conversations. It has been pure magic hanging out with CSers. I am open-minded, curious, respectful, adventurous, caring, positive. Love to brainstorm about business ideas, social projects, farming, blockchain, emotional intelligence, psychology, relationships, coaching, mentoring, marketing. Enjoy learning from others, as well as teaching. WEAKNESS Drawing. Flying. Teleportation. STRENGTH Soccer. Dancing. Singing. PHILOSOPHY Take a deep breath and relax. People are inherently kind. Be nice. People are more powerful than they think they are. FAVORITE QUOTES "Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." — Mark Twain “Follow your dreams; you may not make money, but will never be poor. Follow other people's dreams; you can make money but will never be rich.” --Paulo Coelho “Happiness only real when shared” — Christopher McCandless
