CURRENT MISSION
To try things the best way possible.
ABOUT ME
I was born in Latin-America, where I grew up. But I was also raised by two host families, to whom I lived in the USA and Germany. Thus, I became a flexible, nice guy who knows how to cook, dance and play bagpipes. I studied international commerce, translation, management, and web development. But I ended up working on e-marketing, IT projects among others. Nowadays, I work seasonal periods at Disneyland for fun. I like to read, cook and learn from different cultures and some others perspectives. I think people are like books with unlimited pages, which you can learn a lot from some of their chapters of their lives.
PHILOSOPHY
I shall not act as a citizen from where I was born, nor as from a national identity or the past that it represents, but from the world and the future that we are building together. Otherwise, tolerance, justice and peace would be thrown to a side. Everyone has to try to be his best on what he likes to do. If you do not know what you like to do, then that is what you should be looking for.
VERY USEFUL INFO & TIPS from a CS Ambassador in PARIS
✅ Source come from a Paris CS Ambassador with 100% positive references from 150+ travelers
1️⃣ Reminder: CS is not Tinder. 🙅🏻♂️ So behave with digital hygiene. Hosts are not a Bunk swipper to cherry pick or ghost them later. Remember each interaction you have is not a Chat Bot or Any one getting paid to answer you. Those persons on the other side is a person giving up his time to host you, or on most extreme cases Hosts receiving emergency surf coachers in real need of local help to fix a big problem, specially Capital Cities.
2️⃣ Respect CS hosts and other CS Surfers community members. answer to their messages, and keep them up date for any changes. They would refuse CS coach surfers in need just to respect their previous engagements if you accepted a coach offer make your best to respect it, or coordinate, and to update the CS Host.
😄
3️⃣ Let know a CS Host if you have some allergy for pets or foods, or not ok with sharing living spaces with other CS Surfers. We know most CS surfers do not read everything on our profiles. Avoid losing a coach, and someone else and opportunity of getting one coach that night.
4️⃣ 🔑 I can give you the keys of my bicycle if I don't use it, to visit the lakes or surrounding trails and castles around my place, or if you want to ride in Paris you can with the RER. BUT I only recommended to expert cyclers that have European Drivers licenses. City center it is dangerous to ride if you are not use to ride on streets and roads with buses, motorcycles and cars passing close next to you, and tourists jay crossing streets 360 degrees around you ignoring the existence of any kind of signal street or pedestrian rules. I see often Americans, or Non driver cyclers going on sense invers in the middle of a 4 lane boulevard or stoping in the middle of a crossroad miss confusing a street light.
5️⃣ Use the CS REQUEST and OFFER Couch feature to enclose the formalities. CS Host in France - Specially Who Also are Civil Servants with Civil Liability have legal obligation to ask for identification, and collect and retain identity information from foreign guests in France—including in Île-de-France and Paris—is clearly established in the Code de l'entrée et du séjour des étrangers et du droit d'asile (CESEDA ) A photocopy of your ID or HD photo should be enough. I provide an extra copy to my guests for his own security. FOR Emergency CS surfers with stolen documents there is another protocol to be done at a police station and with his consulate in Paris.
Also we should not host minors without their Parents be with them, so IDs would be request for french citizens too. The new Digital ID for France is possible to have it on your phone. No one should get out of home in France without his AMELI card, as a common sense too.
If you’re traveling with someone, who’s your companion? send his details for everyone safety and civil responsibilities to your CS Hosts. ⛑️
