Alcamo & Castellammare (Segesta, Scopello, Zingaro natural reserve etc...)
This wonderful area (between Palermo and Trapani and very close to both airports) includes unforgettable touristic and historical locations like Segesta's greek temple and theatre, natural hot water (between alcamo, castellammare and calatafimi), pianto romano (where took place the very famous battle of calatafimi that started the unification of Italy) the old fishing village of Scopello (a very famous place in movies and advertisements), Zingaro natural reserve (a real earthly paradise where you can meet dolphins and boars at the same time in a sea you will never forget), the nice town old towns of calatafimi, partinico and camporeale, the lively towns on the sea of balestrate and trappeto and much more things (walk of wine, best olive trees in the country-sides, mountains and woods, etc.)...
Alcamo is the biggest town of the area (about 50,000 inhabitants), located on the slopes of mount Bonifato (another natural reserve), on the border of the provinces of Palermo and Trapani, it's a very nice old arab town with a lot of interesting monuments to see.... it is (like the others town of the area) next to seaside, under a mountain and surrounded by many beautiful hills full of wineyards, where there are a lot of fine wineries. The historical center is full of bars and you can enjoy the good vibrations of people around you. Alcamo marina (5 km. from the city center) is full of people during summer-time and almost empty in the other seasons. Castellammare del Golfo is a town of 15,000 inhabitants. The name is roughly translated "Sea- Fortress of the Gulf", deriving from the medieval fortress in the harbor. In ancient times, Castellammare had been the harbor of Segesta, one of the main towns of the Elymian people (you can still visit the ruins of the old town, the awesome temple and the theatre where still concerts and shows are performed). Nowadays the town of castellammare is a place where you can have a fantastic walk next the harbour (an area full of restaurants
Ospitalità in zona Trapani

If you want, we can visit Palermo or the west coast together or drink a coffee or cocktail. Add me on couchsurfing if you want. Bye!
