What can I use if I want the shortest and cheapest route between two addresses?

I tried using Hyperdia, but it seems like it doesn't include local bus stations of small little villages.

I think it depends on area and distance of two addresses. After that, you should better ask .

You might want to try websites/apps of the local transportation services such as Nishitetsu [http://jik.nishitetsu.jp/menu?lang=en] in Fukuoka. (Looks like it requires Japanese language when you search address/facility though.) There are community buses that run in small towns/villages, but their information is available only in Japanese —and not on the websites like Hyperdia— , so it'd be best to ask your hosts of your accommodations or the locals about the route. :)

How about Google maps? It teach you how to get to route between two addresses like, use a car, walk or use buses and train. Also you can choose a route and it tell cost as well. You don't care about languages too. Have a good travel:)

I would suggest to go on google maps. That's the easiest way for foreigners who cannot speak Japanese to travel in Fukuoka. In google maps, it will show many ways of transportation to get to the destination with price ( in most case). However, if you could know the name of the bus stop nearby your address, you may use Nishitetsu bus application or website which will tell you exact time schedule and if late, how long will you need to wait for it.

However, be aware that bus is not the cheapest way to travel in Fukuoka in some cases, JR sometimes is cheaper. if there is any JR nearby you should check about it. but generally to access small little village, bus seems to be the only option you can choose by now.
