What to see and visit on 15th till 18th of August in Gothenburg? Need advices and recommendations :)

Hey everyone! Three girls are coming to Gothenburg for the first time on 15th till 18 th of August. We would be super happy if you could help us and give some advices, recommendations, what to visit and to see would be possible in two days :)) Or maybe somebody would like to be our guide? :)

p.s. Is there is some places where to dance salsa? Not only clubs, but for example outside social places or somewhere else? :)

Every recommendation would be very helpful!

A lot of different activities all over GBG. Live music and entertainment @ Götaplatsen and Kungstorget. And all is free!

Hi! I agree with the replies above! And make sure you get to see the coast and some islands aswell, Öckerö, Hönö etc :) Good time to see Gbg with the culture fest going on!

Hi! During Kulturkalas there's some dancing going on, Kungsporstavenyn is very active. There is also an open air dance floor at S/S Marieholm, it's more jazzy and usually for older people, but it's very nice though. For sightseeing I recommend Skansen Kronan fortress - great view over the entire city. Archipelago islands are fantastic too. Or you could go to Slottsskogen park/zoo and look at moose and deer.

As it was mentioned before, Archipelago rocks. I recommend Bränno of the islands, there is a nice cafè there. If you like coffee places Haga is also very nice. If you have some spare time botaniska is also nice (really good cakes in their cafè), but generally parks, forests and nature in Sweden are a good place to be. I might be free on friday 18th to walk you around, but I am not sure yet. Hit me up if you still need some advices.

Liseberg, ferry to different islands (only cost the same as a tram ticket), Paddan, Slottskogen, Ramberget. A glass of vine on Barken Viking.

I really like the city view from "Lookout top Kilerspark Utsiktsplats Keillers Park". I recommend there for an hour or more if you wanna walk around!

Henriksberg should have Salsa. Its a bar but the focus is more on dancing and being social. Its on a terrace so beautiful place to see the channel. I would recommend having the dinner there sit in the outdoor terrace and wait until the social dance begins.
