Hello everybody!

I’ve been studying at Santa Monica College for 4 months, now I’m taking exams and going to get back to Israel in early August.

It has recently occurred to me that I haven’t seen an American way of life and I’ve never been to an American people’s house since all my friends are foreign students like me.

I’d really love to converse with you and catch a glimpse of how you live your life! So I wanted to spend one or a few days in your home, I’ll not take much of your time since I’ll still be at college most of the day.

Hope it’s not a weird request and I explained my reasons properly. Thank you and good luck to you people!!

Dina, it's not a weird request but you probably would have gotten easier and more responses doing this earlier in your stay here.

I'd suggest you reach out to either a Dean of Students or student activities coordinator or some similar situated person and/or explore some campus groups at your school since there's such a tight limit of time left while you are here.

Thank you Edward for your advice. Yes, you’re right but I can’t change it now so at least I’ll give it a try.

As for time, I have about one week - from 1st to 7st-8st of August. I suppose it’s enough since I don’t want to take up a lot of people’s time.

As for for official services, yes there’s a few but it doesn’t feel like authentic experience to be frank.
