Looking for a host from 02/18 to 02/23

Hello. I'm Daniel a travelling painter from Germany. I got a scholarship to attend a painting workshop at Scottsdale artist school between 02/19 and 02/23. Accomodation is not included and a hotel not really an option for me so I'm trying to find a couch during this time. I also have camping gear so a garden or lawn would be fine as well. During the workshop I'll probably not have a lot of time but still would love to get together and share time, stories and food. After the workshop I want to be hitchhiking around AZ and the west coast, so I'm interested to hear suggestions of interesting places to visit. Thank you

Not knowing where in Scottsdale your painting workshop is my friend, Susanne, is willing to host you. She's a kilometer south of ASU in Tempe (about 10 km east of the airport - accessible by LightRail & free neighborhood circulator bus); I'm near her but our guest room is occupied now. Hello Danial, we (Donna & I) would be happy to host your for the time period you specified. Where is the workshop being held? There is public transportation that is quite close, less than a five minute walk. The guest house that I build is quite small 8 feet by 12 feet It is heated and air conditioned, however it has no running water, we would be sharing my bath. Hello Daniel, I would be happy to host you as well. Unfortunately, my place does not have a couch or a spare bed, so you will be sleeping on the floor in a sleeping bag. The only advantage you would have staying at my place is that I work just down the street from the Scottsdale Artists' School (3720 N Marshall Way, Scottsdale, AZ 85251). I work 9am-5pm, so if the workshop you are attending operates on a similar time, we can carpool to work. In bad traffic, my commute is 30 minutes.
