9th CS Xmas Weekend Meeting, Hike and Potluck in Banska Stiavnica 2026 Hi CouchSurfing people and all others interested in nature, hiking, cooking and good atmosphere with old and some of new friends, let me invite you to our already traditional CS meeting and hike more or less one weekend before Christmas. This will be already 9th edition, so many of you already have some idea how the weekend would go. This time we will again meet in Banska Stiavnica to explore this region of Banska Bystrica, unique, beautiful UNESCO place with amazing nature around. Friday 11th of December 2026: ----------------------------------------------- 19.00 - 20:00 Individual or group arrivals and accommodation in hostel Cosmopolitan 20.00 - N/A - CS evening/night Saturday 12th of December 2026: ----------------------------------------------- 8.00 - 9.00 Breakfast 9.00 - Hike in the mountains around 17.00 – 20.00 Potluck dinner preparation - Cooking of Xmas dinner 20.00 – N/A - Common dinner + Gifts giveaway + CS Party Please bring along one gift for somebody else. We will draw gifts after the dinner. Everyone should receive one gift from another meeting member. Sunday 13th of December 2026: ----------------------------------------------- Exploring of Banska Stiavnica town 14:00 - Visit of Sklené Teplice - hot steam cave SPA, bath in 42°C water Please join this meeting as soon as possible to secure your place. The number of participant is limited by capacity of accommodation in the hostel. You can book private rooms or stay in shared dormitory room. Please book on your own.
