O wydarzeniu
Anyone up for visiting Luzern and discovering its festival of lights? Due to the distance of the destination, a weekend journey is recommended, although it's also feasible to have it as day trip.
Legend has it that Luzern was founded under the guidance of an angel, who pointed a ray of light over the chosen spot. And so the settlers built a town there. These days, the angels may be elsewhere in the skies, but a light festival is taking place in Luzern.
While waiting to find out what the weather will be like, rough plan is to spend a Saturday afternoon in the picturesque Swiss city and combine a scenic walk across the Bireggwald forest with a stroll across the "Lilu" light festival.
Hike takes around 2 hours and is well described at https://www.luzern.com/en/tour/bireggwald-oberrueti-luzern
Recommended train:
From Zürich:
Zurich: 13:10, Luzern: 13:51
From Basel:
Basel: 12:16, Luzern: 13:30
From Milano:
Milano 9:43 (or 10:10, but it's expensive) Luzern 13:41
