Hey everyone! This event is for anyone who enjoys independent, arthouse, or experimental films and is looking for social engagement. Our film club is a fantastic way to meet like-minded individuals from all over! We will gather at a premium café / cake shop next to the cinema (or at a nearby park if the weather is nice) to get to know each other about 2 hours before the screening. Once we have our group, we can either stay together or explore Little Italy, the birthplace of Melbourne's renowned café culture. Next, we’ll watch a film (title to be announced one week before the event) at Cinema Nova, Melbourne's largest and most vibrant art-house cinema complex. All tickets are half-price on Mondays—$9 if purchased in person and $10 online. After the movie, we can find a spot to hang out and discuss the film together. This event can accommodate around 15 people. You are welcome to come alone or bring friends, but please note that everyone must book their tickets in advance and confirm their attendance in the comments. Please include your seat number(s) so we can sit together in the theater. If you arrive late, we may have moved from the meeting spot, so being on time is essential.
