On Saturday 18 May there will be a national demonstration in solidarity with Palestine. This 14th march has a special significance as it also commemorates the "Naqba", the "catastrophe", i.e. the ethnic cleansing and permanent displacement of the majority of the Palestinian people in 1947-48 to make way for the creation of Israel on 14 May 1948. The meeting point is at 11.30am outside WARREN STREET STATION (Victoria line). At 11.45am we will make our way to the start of the march, which will set off from BBC Portland Place at 12 o'clock.
