Hi! I’m Ömer from Türkiye. I studied Tourism Guidance, so travelling, history, culture and meeting people from different backgrounds have always been a big part of my life. I’m the kind of person who can spend an afternoon talking about a city’s history and then end the evening discussing a random movie, game or internet meme. I’m currently also interested in technology and AI, and I enjoy building small projects, experimenting with new ideas and generally figuring out how things work. I like having different interests rather than sticking to just one thing. Outside of that, I’m a big movie and anime fan, I play games quite a lot (especially LoL, Valorant and story-driven games), and I play volleyball whenever I get the chance. I also used to run a cinema-related Instagram page with around 80,000 followers, so yes, I can probably talk about movies for longer than you expected. :) What I enjoy most about travelling isn't simply seeing famous places. It's meeting people, hearing their stories, finding places that aren't in every guidebook and experiencing a destination through the people who actually live there. As a guest, I’m respectful, clean and easygoing. I don’t expect my host to be my personal tour guide or spend all their time with me. If we get along and have time, though, I’d absolutely love to explore together, grab a coffee or beer, cook something, or just have a long conversation about life. It gives me the opportunity to introduce our own culture. We also have the Ihlara Valley Canyon, with 27-28 churches. There's the Selime Cathedral, where the world's first vocal religious service was held. Aşıklıhöyük is one of the first settlements where people transitioned from nomadic to settled life.
