High functioning social human. I'm studying Master degree at BOKU University in Vienna. I went to the Netherlands for my exchange studies at Wageningen University. Beside study traveling is my passion because i feels more alive while I'm traveling.
If you are not sure about how to start, here are some ideas: 1️⃣ Agree to couch information: I live in an apartment that is about 15 min. away from the city center by metro. Since we sometimes host more than one person, I cannot guarantee you a private room. This also means that being considerate and leaving everything the way you found it is appreciated. 2️⃣Tell me how you will arrive (plane, bus, train, hitchhiking, etc). Also please tell me your estimated time of arrival (ETA) – especially if it is after 10 pm (also during your stay). 3️⃣ It would be great if we could cook something together and if you could bring the ingredients. It's not a must, it's not about the price, but it's always polite to bring something. 4️⃣ If you are travelling with other people, please include their CS profile in your request, I strongly prefer hosting people with an active profile 5️⃣ Tell me about your plan in the city so that we manage to spend some time together either at my flat or outdoors. If you agree with the information said above, your chances are quite high to be hosted. Your chances will increase if you mention something avocado-related in your request. 🌎 Collect countries like Pokémon 🥑 I have an inexplicable addiction to avocados 🥗I am a flexitarian - meaning I only eat meat when I travel 🎼 I love music and listen to it all the time 🌍 I have a serious case of #wanderlust and #fernweh (opposite of homesickness, distancesickness) 🛏 I do couchsurfing as a way of treatment, it's like travelling without having to go anywhere 🍻🤭 I usually don’t drink alcohol ✈️💰Motto: Travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer.
I am an easy going guy interested in meeting new people practicing English more often. I want to give new Couchsurfers a chance, but please also read the profile properly, so that you get all the information needed for your perfect first CS experience and I don't have to explain myself or the whole concept. Since it happened a couple of times now that I reserved the space especially for some confirmed couchsurfers, I highly appreciate if you cancel your stay immediately when your plans change to give other couchsurfers the chance to be hosted, since Vienna is quite a popular city, otherwise I see myself forced to leave a negative reference! Lastly I want to point out that I'm not an Airbnb providing you with free accomodation only!

I am a country boy from Austria and want to see the world. I am a geek and I like all kind of different sports.
My name is Andy, I'm 35 years old. Currently I'm living in Vienna. I'm a social worker by profession, working with young people offering psychological consultation. I also do part time teaching of social work at university. In my free time I do like to be active. I'm into sports [running, tennis, biking...] and meeting friends to hangout. I do also enjoy reading books and newspapers as well as watching movies and series. I'm a coffee lover as well, so you would find me often in my favourite places around Vienna just relaxing over a cup of good coffee. Please do not send me copy-paste requests. It is important to me that you take some effort to write a personal message, mentioning some aspects of my profile we can conncet on. If you are traveling with somebody else please give some information about the other person in your request as well. Thank you in advance. To everyone who would like to visit Vienna, here are my recommendations what to see: Rathaus + Parlament Both town hall and parliament are right in the city center. Both are freshly renovated. At parliament there is a public area you can visit for free during the opening hours. Universität Wien It's the oldest university in central Europe and it's the biggest university in the german speaking world. Schloss Schönbrunn It's the biggest castle in the city a bit outside of the center. The building itself is beautiful but even more impressive is the huge garden area behind the castle. It's definitly a must see visiting Vienna. Schloss Belvedere It's the second biggest castle in the city and also a museum of classical art. It's located in the 4th district. Albertina Museum The most well known calssical art museum in town. You'll find it in the 1st district directly next to the opera house. Naschmarkt It's the biggest market place in town in the 4th district of Vienna. It's a great place to get food and drinks as well as great quality products to cook at your own place. It's also just great to walk around there and enjoy a nice day. Donaukanal It's part of the river danube going throuch the city center. In summer it's the go to place for taking a beer with friends and hangout at the water. In winter is's nice to walk along the canal or go for a run. It's also one of the view places in the city where graffiti is allowed. So there's a lot of cool stuff to see there as well.
I will not take guests for just one night - sorry ! MY PHILOSOPHY => Life is too short to waste a single second. Just Travel and see the world with your own eyes ! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dwCs_BGiAaE Something about me I am Markus i am really open minded and i try to do the best ever. I registered 2012 but was angry till late 2014 hosting people no i had dozens of them. Some of them i felt really connected. Normally i have to go to work durring week but i like to share travel stories in the evening. At weekend i'll do my best to show you arround. I also have every tourist information about any sights in a folder for my surfers. I also have city maps in different languages. If you ask i will share you a google map with an special walk in the city center.
CURRENT MISSION Exploring the world!! ABOUT ME I like to travel and travelers share their experiences about...I like to share my culture and learn from others and their views of the world. PHILOSOPHY You Only Live Once...
Hi, I'm Lukas and I'm passionate about travelling and meeting people from all over the world. I love visiting vibrant cities, enjoying nature and immersing myself in the local culture. Best of all if I can ride a bike in a new place or go on a stunning hike. I'm an open, polite and friendly person, I often smile and I love making jokes. I tend to thoroughly plan things, but the things I enjoy the most in life are the spontaneous experiences.
Mission? Make the world a better place. Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, We see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, Are the ones who do.
I like traveling and meeting people. I can say I am open to new experiences. I like to visit different countries and learn about their lifestyles and cultures. That's why I travel often. I like a good entertainment, Tango Argentino, opera, musicals, cinema, concert, theater. PS: i don't accept friend requests if we didn't meet in real life. @ I'm sorry, I can't host you.
