Hi there! I’m Luk, a Belgian/Brazilian backpacker trying to navigate life with one yoga mat, one overloaded backpack, a slightly concerning amount of curiosity, and a talent for turning “just passing through” into a minor life chapter 🌍 I work as a Gestalt therapist, which basically means I’m endlessly fascinated by humans. Even the complicated ones. Especially the complicated ones. My life lately has been a strange mix of: Ashtanga yoga, long bus rides, deep conversations, volunteer work, lots of scuba diving, getting rid of beach sand everywhere, emotional growth and trying not to overpack for the 47th time. I love people who are genuine. Not perfect. Just real. The kind of people who can laugh hard, talk honestly, disappear into silence for a moment and then continue like nothing weird happened. I’m very happy with simple things: good coffee, street fruit, ocean air, strong hugs, cooking random healthy meals with whatever survived in my backpack, wandering through unknown neighborhoods, music in the background and conversations that accidentally become meaningful. I practice yoga, which is a beautiful daily ritual where you peacefully confront your own nonsense before breakfast 🧘‍♂️🔥 Nothing like trying to breathe calmly in a difficult posture while your ego negotiates for its survival like a desperate lawyer. Travel-wise, I’m not chasing luxury or checklists. I’m looking for stories, connection, movement and those rare moments where life suddenly feels very simple again. I’ll probably arrive with: • good energy • curious questions • random travel stories • healthy snacks nobody asked for • and optimistic plans that reality will immediately challenge If our paths cross, beautiful 🙂 Let’s share a meal, a conversation, a sunset, or a small temporary corner of this weird little planet. 🫶

Adoro mochilar, pegar carona, conversar com estranhos, beber com estranhos, desplanejar o planejado e bagunçar o organizado ahahahahahha. I'm unsettling, unquiet, curious as hell. And i have an indescribable desire for life . Had a very stable job, in which, I used to earned a great deal of Money. But I was frigging bored. Didn't think twice: quit it hehehe. Now I don't have any money and I'm as happy as one can be. Now i Just came from a backpacking throughout South America by hitchhiking (haciendo dedo). Simple things and people really draw my attention. I believe that in the little tiny gestures you find true happiness such as: a kiss, a hug, a sincere smile, a heart willing to help strangers without strings attached. A good heart can be felt by miles away. I'm a crazy fellow. I'm still trying to figure myself out. Since I quit my job, I still dont know what I wanna do next. I love capoeira but I'm way to clumsy and Undiciplinated to focus on it, any beer invitation really steals me away 😅It really frustrates me, but it's all right. I'll keep pursuing it with all my strength.

Hey to everybody here! 😉 My name is Thiago and I live in Recife, frevo's city with the famous Boa Viagem beach! I live here since 2008 and since child always came to spend carnival here with my family so I know very well the city.... and yes, I live alone since 18 years old and its not so common in Brazil! 😊haha I love the Medicine ( Im doctor), to cook ( u can read in my references), gym, to run, go to Pubs and parties with friends, go to beach, to travel, to know people from different countries (if u are from Brazil, dont worry... we live in a big country and its always good to meet brazilians also) =) . I have liked every experience here in the CS and made friendships with amazing people, its so great and really love to open my door to travelers! COME ON, SEND ME A MESSAGE! ☺☺ Im a friendly guy and open mind offerting my home for u ( or so to meet if its not possible to host) or so needing of ur help in ur city (if Im a traveler)! But pls, write about u, what do u like, wish, little bit about ur life, what do u do and NOT copy past! I dont like when travelers send the same message to randon people, it shows like lazy they are and just want any free place to sleep! Its so boring when someone just write things like: "How are u Thiago? I love to travel and to meet new people! Im going to Recife, can u host me for some days?" or so "Hello Thiago, i dont have so much money and need of a place in Recife, do u have a couch to me? Any corner/place is very good to me!" I WONT ANSWER if u send just it, the Couchsurfing doesnt mean a free hotel and I dont want to host people that have in mind just to save money! =) If u are interested just in a place to sleep, wifi and laundry machine, pls dont message me! ☺ I had a bad experience with guys that just ask the password of my wifi and keep on Internet closed in the bedroom everyday, dont talk, dont wanna hang out neither nothing! I dont want ur money, just to know u and wish to host people with the true CS spirit! I just host people that have hosted travelers so if u are new on CS start hosting in ur home or so meeting travelers in ur city to hang out, to party or just a simple coffee!
