Having lived in Cornwall for many years, we moved to Australia two years ago to be with our family here, in the beautiful south west. It's taken a while to settle in but we are enjoying our new life here. We have a large garden, orchard and vegetable garden which keeps us busy!
I'm an easy going quiet person, like playing scrabble, walking gardening and playing tennis, pickleball. I try to live a healthy tox free lifestyle, also try to be minimalistic and not waste resources, I like my coffee and maybe the odd red wine once in a while.

I’m 28, originally from Belgium, and I’ve spent the last few years in Australia. I’m passionate about surfing, hiking, renovating furniture, travelling and plenty of other things. Always keen to discover new hobbies and hanging out with people. I’m open minded, easy going, and I’d say I’ve got a pretty good sense of humour. I’d be happy to share good vibes, good meals, and a few beers.
Hey I’m Tim, i’m 35 and a carpenter back in my home country of Australia and I’m currently on an open ended trip across the world. I’m starting in India and making my way towards Europe. I’d love to stay with some cool, fun and interesting people along the way to share some insights, stories and laughs.
CURRENT MISSION Every day is a blessing. ABOUT ME I live in the Margaret River, Western Australia. I am a sea kayaker and work with WA parks and wildlife. I’ve worked in some amazing places as a kayak guide too e.g. Ningaloo, Fiji and Raja Ampat. When i am in a place I like to explore the outdoors by camping, kayaking, swimming, canoeing, snorkelling, walking, cycling - anything outdoors really. I am not a big fan of cities and urban environments. That’s why I like the life down south. It’s more nature and stunning places to explore. I think it's good to stay with local people to get the authentic local experience and really connect. In 2011-2016 I took time off work to travel the world following the kayak route of 1930's kayaker Oskar Speck. Visit www.sandy-robson.com for more details and photos of the journey. PHILOSOPHY Live the life you want right now.
I am french I came to travel and study in Australia when I was 18 in 2000 I used couchsurfing back then and had great experiences and met beautiful crew. Since I became a mother of 2 beautiful boys , I have not used CS and considering I haven't travelled for a while I had almost forgotten about it and when I met a friend that is surfing at the present my mind just opened wider. Finally I actually could host travellers and share experiences, knowledge and wisdom from my home. I believe in the good of people and connections.

Friendly traveling couple who love cinema, sports, food, and discovering new cultures 🌍 We’re respectful, easygoing, clean, and always happy to meet new people, share experiences, and enjoy a beer after a day of adventures.😄
I am a clinical veterinarian. I recently sold my practice and am now semi-retired so have some time to do some travelling and to host travelers. I have many animals. As well as the usual pets (dogs, cat, birds, fish) I also accommodate some injured or hand-raised wildlife. People always ask what my favourite animal is and I genuinely do not have one. I do find the bond that has evolved between humans and dogs to be fascinating.
CURRENT MISSION We respond immediately, within 24 hours! WE DON'T USUALLY ACCEPT SHORT NOTICE REQUESTS. READ ADDITIONAL INFORMATION under MY HOME, please. This will enable you to find our couchsurfing 'password-phrase' that you need in order to obtain a positive response if you make a request. You must read that information, otherwise don't bother to send us a request. We are not available in December but will be in January. Updated 27/11/20 At this point in my life I try to maximise my interests, namely classical music, cooking, reading, tennis and travelling, making new friends and maintaining contact with old friends, largely over the internet. ABOUT ME Easy going, easy to get along with, friendly, but not in an extroverted way. Liberal in my outlook not always as conservative as my wife would like me to be, although we seem to have different views of what being conservative means. Carroll and I celebrated our 49th wedding anniversary on October 30 and we are quite pleased that our marriage has been a good bond and that our 'kid's unions' are stable ones too. Carroll and I married 'late' (in our early thirties) and so did they. PHILOSOPHY An existential one. I am, like everyone else, affected by 'things' over which I have little or no control, thus, I accept the reality that what happens happens. However, I believe that I largely determine the path my life takes because of the decisions I make. The meanings and purposes of my life are of my choosing. I do not believe in the supernatural, you can extrapolate the obvious from that! I totally agree with Christopher Hitchen's succinct reasoning: "What can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence." This is sometimes referred to as Hitchen's Razor. Classical music is my gateway into spirituality; my life would be severely impoverished without it. I despair of the scant importance placed on fine music education, both listening to and playing it, in our primary and secondary schools. Inclusion of music instruction for young students enhances their learning in all fields. Studies have provided supporting evidence for this contention. I like the quote from UK conductor Paul McCreesh: "There's nothing elitist about classical music, unless you deprive children of the opportunity to connect with it."
