Salam ! I’m Ameni ; a proud Tunisian soul with a quiet, dreamy heart grounded in wisdom, and a deep love for meaningful connections and quality times. I’ve been part of the Couchsurfing community for 4 years and have met so many wonderful travelers. Sadly, not everyone leaves a reference 😅 ; I wish they did, because their words could probably describe me more truthfully than I ever could! Over the years, I’ve had my share of beautiful adventures: long talks under the stars, spontaneous road trips, sharing tea, meals, and heartfelt moments with people from around the world. These days, I’ve chosen a more peaceful path. I’ve grown into someone more spiritually centered and grounded — committed to learning and practicing my faith (Islam), and nurturing my inner peace. It’s a shift I embrace with gratitude. While I’m not into camping anymore, I still carry the same open-hearted spirit. I truly enjoy seeing my country through the eyes of travelers and it reminds me how precious it really is. If you’re visiting Tunis, I’d be happy to share a walk, a short trip, a quiet tea, or a deep conversation about culture, life, or anything in between. Couchsurfing, for me, was never just about places — it’s about people, kindness, and that feeling of belonging to a global team who understands the beauty of traveling. “ Im not here for dating “⛔️ I’m Erij, a 28-year-old Tunisian living in Dubai. I studied in Turkey, and traveling is my biggest passion. I’ve visited 18 countries through around 30 trips, and I love returning to the same countries to discover new cities and cultures. I’m friendly, respectful, open-minded, and always happy to meet people from different backgrounds.
CURRENT MISSION having contact with people all over the world ABOUT ME maybe crazy PHILOSOPHY think different
🌍 From a Couch… to a Caravan of Cultures It all started with a simple question: “What if opening your door could open your world?” My name is Maher, from Tunisia 🇹🇳 A husband, a father of three… and someone who once accepted a Couchsurfing request without knowing that it would completely change the way he sees people, borders, and even his own home. At first, it was just about hosting travelers. A guest from Iran sharing stories over dinner. A German traveler helping my kids with their English homework. An Italian friend laughing with us around a barbecue like she had always been part of the family. One by one, strangers became friends. Meals became memories. And my living room became a small United Nations of cultures. That’s when I realized: Couchsurfing was never about offering a couch. It was about creating moments that no hotel, no tour, and no itinerary could ever offer. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Hosting people from all over the world didn’t just bring the world into my home — It pushed me to go out and see it myself. From the deserts of Tunisia to the streets of Tehran, From the chaos of Cairo to the calm of Southeast Asia… Every journey changed something in me. But at some point, hosting and traveling didn’t feel like enough anymore. I didn’t just want to be part of the Couchsurfing community… I wanted to build something for it. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ So in 2025, I organized the very first CouchCrash event in Tunisia 🇹🇳 Seeing travelers from different continents meet, connect, and discover my country together was a turning point. And now? We’re going even further. I am currently organizing: 🚗 CouchCrash Road Trip Tunisia A multi-city road trip that will bring Couchsurfers from around the world to travel together across Tunisia — not just as tourists, but as a moving community. Because sometimes, the best way to understand a country… Is through the people who open their homes to you. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🏡 About Hosting My home is not a hostel. It’s a family space I share with my wife and our three children. If you stay with us, you’re not just getting a place to sleep — You’re stepping into our daily life. Shared meals 🍲 Local conversations Maybe even a countryside escape if time allows 🌿 Hosting is available depending on work, family life, and travel — But stays are limited to 2–3 nights only (non-negotiable). ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ⚠️ A Gentle but Important Note Couchsurfing is not a dating app. If you're here for anything other than cultural exchange, kindness, and meaningful human connection — this may not be the right place for you. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🔐 Secret Code If you’ve read this far, include this sentence in your request: ➡️ “Mi casa es su casa” ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Maybe we’ll meet one day over a shared meal, on a Tunisian road trip, or somewhere between stories and cultures. Until then: Live the moment. Take the adventure. Create memories that last longer than the trip itself. — Maher 🇹🇳
I'd define myself as an easy going and always smiling woman who reaches for equality and fairness for all ! I love hiking (especially volcanos), i'm fond of aerials practicing and i enjoy learning new langages, meeting people and travelling far from hotels and tour operator circuits :) I'm currently travelling in Latin America so I can't host. :)

Whether you're a solo traveler, digital nomad, or just curious to dive deeper into the city — you’re in the right place 💌. I was born and raised in Tunis 🕌 and still call this vibrant city home ❤️. I’d be happy to show you around downtown — beyond the tourist spots — and into the hidden corners, cozy cafés ☕, cultural gems 💎, and lived-in streets that make this place so special 🌍🌿. 🧠💬 I’m somewhere between introvert and extrovert — I love deep conversations, shared laughter, and meaningful company, but I also value silence and reflective moments. Couchsurfing 🛋️ has given me a way to connect with people from all walks of life and build friendships across borders 🌐💫. If you're someone who travels not just to see new places, but to grow, learn, and evolve 🌱, we’ll probably get along. I consider myself a resilient soul 🧗♀️, always working on becoming a better version of myself — with kindness, curiosity, and a good dose of humor. Easygoing, curious, and always up for an adventure. I love exploring cities, meeting new people, and discovering good food, music, and hidden spots. I know downtown pretty well, especially the bars worth checking out. If you’re into spontaneous plans, good conversations, and a little chaos, we’ll probably get along. 🍻
I’m an adventurer at heart. I thrive on slow travel, hitchhiking, camping, and immersing myself in local cultures, always seeking experiences that go beyond the usual tourist trail. I love deep conversations about entrepreneurship, mindset shifts, and how to balance structure with intuition in business. Another way for me to connect with a country and its culture is through dancing and learning its dance moves. "How you see the world is how the world will be" is something that I truly believe in.
