Hey! I’m glad that you are here reading this text :) 🦒Current situation: In August I am going to cycle from southern Germany to Budapest to do a course in Performance Arts and Nature there for one month. After this I am going to cycle back to Würzburg where I am planning on finishing my B.Sc. in Psychology for now. Depending on wether I have time or not (let’s talk about this in advance!) I can show you around a little bit (I love going on walks) or we can cook sth together. I'm more than happy to follow your suggestions as well! I also always appreciate if you let me know some of your needs or plans in advance. 🌊 In 2023 I made one of my biggest trips so far. I went to the US for three months and did some au-pairing there combined with traveling and road-tripping around a bit. I did my 200h Yogateachertraining in Bali in May which was a dream that I fulfilled for myself. A dream I’ve had since 16 years old as I’ve started doing yoga when I was 12. Then I went to Singapore and Malaysia a bit to then continue my travels to Thailand. I went there mainly to learn about Thai Yoga Massage which I did through attending a 12-day-course in a little village north of Chiang Mai. After that I continued my travels to India and before returning back to Germany I went to Georgia for two weeks where I had the most amazing hitchhiking and workaway-experiences to finish my trip (for now). My new passion is bikepacking after my trip from Kiel (Germany) to Denmark and Sweden in September 2024. Being in nature, moving and deciding the night before where I want to go next. It’s a perfect tempo in my opinion. I planned my first bikepacking trip within 1,5 weeks (I didn’t even have a bike before that) so I’m more than grateful for any tips! ;) In general I’m super curious about different ways of traveling. In 2025 I went on a 2 week trip in Germany. The last year (2025/2026) I was living in Granada and started exploring dance (Butoh, Contact, Improvisation, Danza Teatro etc.) and Clowning. And some more rock climbing :) A very valuable time for me that I still love to think back to! And probably also want to revisit :) 🏔️ I love hiking, climbing, exploring cities, art, yoga and I’m happiest when I meet other people, see new places and get to know different cultures. My goal always is to broaden my horizon - to learn new things. Therefore I’m most happy and grateful if you want to show me around a little bit and introduce me to your culture and surroundings. But at the same time I understand if you are busy or don’t feel like being a tourist guide. I like to explore places on my own as well. 🌎 I’ve started solo-traveling when I was 17 years old by doing workaways (working in exchange for food and accommodation). Traveling for me is not checking things of a list, it’s about collecting experiences and making connections with and learning from people. I want to get to know myself better while traveling. Experiencing and discovering new parts of myself that I can only see in new environments and interacting with different people. This reflects in my way of traveling. I enjoy seeing the more touristy things but what really excites me is getting to know the culture, history and the way of living of a place away from all the sightseeing. In couchsurfing I’ve found the perfect way to do this through meeting and talking to people that live there. I’m very open about what to do, usually I don’t have plans that cannot be changed. I like exploring with the person hosting me but if you’re busy I’m totally fine doing things on my own. I have no expectations (!). My goal is trying to adapt to the host’s lifestyle as much as I can, I’m not looking for a hotel. 🌿 Another thing you might want to know about me (if that’s not obvious already) is that I’m not a city-person. I appreciate exploring cities as a condensed way of „tasting” the vibe of a country. But my true inner nature is more connected to nature and a simple lifestyle. I can easily spend a whole day in the botanical garden or sometimes also a museum or an art gallery to escape the city-life while still being in the city. 🌀 Clear and respectful communication is super important to me. You can tell me about any rules that you have in your home or if there’s sth that I did etc. that bothered you. On the other side I wanted to point out that I’m a very open personality and human-connections are essential to me. But I have my boundaries. Aka: Couchsurfing is not a dating-app [I had some persons interpreting friendliness and openness in a wrong way]! Staying at your home and personal space is sth I’m very grateful for. Please don’t create situations that make me feel uncomfortable in this way. I will treat your home as respectful as if it was my own. I’m a clean, quiet person and of course I’m going to follow your wishes regarding any rules or so. I’m german - we love our rules ;)
CURRENT MISSION Not giving up experiencing life just for the sake of duty ABOUT ME Open and talkactive. Love travelling. Like any kind of experience: trying new food, practicing new sports, learning new languages, meeting new people...actually trying to live and do the best of everything I encounter. PHILOSOPHY Life is gotta be lived. No matter if something could have gone better (or worse) since each day has its own value and contributes to make your life unique.
Welcome, My name is Reda, I'm a nord african with Amazigh and Spanish origins who lived for 21 years in Morocco and 5 years in France, I'm passionated about science, evolution and philosophy, I like to think very deeply and over analyzing the humans and animals behaviours, I studied applied mathematics and I became an Engineer, but I decided to repeat my studies from the scratch to become a psychologist. I'm currently living in Lille in the nord of France where I study Psychology. I have been swimming since I was 17 years old, but now I stopped in 2019 because of an injury in my shoulder. I like to listen to the stories of people and thier philosophical views about life. and I love to engage into deep conversations to discuss how we perceive life, even if we have different views, the more the views are challenging the more they are enjoyable. by the way I love to take challenges, I already completed a marathon when I had 20 years old in Tangier and I was the youngst participant to finish it. Altough I'm a science and cognition guy, I like to laugh and not take life seriously . I think behind every part of the conversation there is an opportunity to laugh. so why miss many of them? "The harshest and the hardest loneliness is to stay in the places/situations we are used to"..
ABOUT ME Geographer with a passion for languages, astronomy, and the Middle East. I'm also a fairly decent whistler, only the job market for professional whistlers is rather non-existent. My other pastimes – travelling and meeting strangers – might have qualified me for working as a tourist guide somewhere in a warm place (I'm not too fond of Northern European winters...). But I ended up joining an international organisation, and have been happily travelling and meeting strangers (and occasionally whistling) ever since. PHILOSOPHY بعض الطرق الجميلة لا يمكن اكتشافها من غير ضياع Some beautiful paths cannot be discovered without getting lost.

I am Astrid, 27 years old, and from Germany. I am currently doing a 6 week workation through Norway to work on my PhD in Explainable AI (XAI) while discovering the beauty of Norway. Would love to meet people on my way, because making some connectings on the way makes it much more special and memorable.
ABOUT ME probably others could describe me much better than i do. anyway, that's me:i'm an open minded, curious and honest person. while my friends are very important for me, i equally love to meet new people and new experiences are exciting for me. i can be very talkative but i also love to listen to other people, and there are moments in which i have nothing to say, too. i might seem a bit shy then, and again. when i'm comfortable, then i'm not shy at all. sometimes i'm a little into dreamer and then again with both feet on the ground.i've got a good portion of (dry to black) humour and love to laugh. but as well i like conversations about serious topics as for example international politics.music is my passion: since a child i play the piano and whenever there is an opportunity i hit the keys. who knows, maybe we can make music together! i'd love to!want to know more? feel free to ask!
World-hungry couple from Würzburg (Germany) currently on a world trip since 1st of April 2022. We basically own only what’s in our backpacks 🎒 This trip has already gone far beyond what we have expected and has shaped us in so many ways. We have no words how grateful we are for all the love and generosity that we have received through Couchsurfing and other encounters throughout our journey! —— We’re both couchsurfing and travelling -proven and have many different interests, so there'll be surely something to chat about! We love to meet new people, especially locals, to see how they live and experience the most in culture and nature of their beautiful country. We pretty much enjoy a good hike, but also like to lay at the beach or roaming around the city for local "off the path"-spots; or going out for food/ coffee/ sightseeing. We hope for good conversations, debates about each others country and their politics, the universe and if you have- a couch to surf on! René likes to visit football stadiums in different countries, whereas you will find Nina more in a Yoga session or enjoying a good cake (; Can't wait to meet you! 🌻 —— INFO: Nina has Asthma- so please let us know if you smoke inside the room we’d be sleeping in. (Pets are no problem, we love them and are also active pet-& housesitters) —— Wondering why we couldn’t host yet? Please see our home section.
I am a German traveler who loves to experience many new things. My passions are traveling, sports, nature and photography. To travel south and middle America I took off some time from work and my home country Germany. I studied at the university in Freiburg (South Germany) mathematics, physics, technology and computer science to be a teacher. I am really curious meeting you and to learn about your way of life! New experiences and impressions of people and the world are a precious treasure to me. Looking forward to your message and to get to know you!
Hey there lovely couchsurfer, I’m Hendrik — 27 years old and always curious about different perspectives on life and the world. I love good conversation, whether it’s about deep life philosophies, your favorite local hangout, or just sharing a cold beer together. Right now, I’m in the middle of a career shift, stepping into the social sector as I train to become an educator for children and teenagers. While I’m on this path, I enjoy bringing a bit of the world to my home by hosting fellow travelers — and of course, heading out on my own adventures whenever I can. I’m excited to meet new people, learn about your culture, and explore your favorite places. Cheers, Hendrik
I have been traveling since 2019, partially free, partially with trying to survive with some sidejobs. I'm very open minded to new lifeworlds and always curious to meet new people. I grew up in a very small town in the Bavarian forest next to the Austrian border. That's why I love nature, animals and hiking, this helps me to settle my thoughts. My friends describe me as a very positive, outgoing and energetic person. I had been working with refugees and migrants in the past 3, 5 years, which definitely had a great impact on my way of thinking about life. Since I would like to work abroad on a long-term basis, I am planning to travel the world by part-time volunteering, preferrable in the Humantiarian/ NGO sector, where it can be considered to make sense.
Currently not hosting, because I’m traveling. I'm a 31 year old from Germany who loves traveling, seeing new places, meeting new people and learning new things. I also love nature, animals and food/cooking. I was an Au Pair in the US in 2015/16 living with a Colombian host family close to Washington D.C. for a year. This year abroad has been one of the best experiences in my life so far and I made my first experience with couchsurfing there. I was also living in Montreal, Canada for half a year for a semester abroad. I'm a really easy-going person, always happy to host people when my current situation allows it.
