CURRENT MISSION Formal education...because 'i before e' is just weird...and hopefully you know why! ABOUT ME Just a regular guy. PHILOSOPHY Don't just say "I meant to"...get your ass out there and actually do it! Regrets have their place, but why encourage them?
I'm married and have a 2-1/2 year old son. I took a long break from Couchsurfing after being heavily involved for several years. My wife and I decided to give it a shot again. I want to mention right away that everyone is welcome in my home regardless of gender, orientation, race, nationality, etc...everybody! Please no last minute requests (the day of) - I will decline...no exceptions (it doesn't work for me). I am a big believer in the community spirit of couchsurfing. If you have no references, are not verified, have an incomplete profile, or do not host people ever I probably will decline your request. I understand it can be hard to break into couchsurfing. If you need references try to find friends that have references or attend a local couchsurfing event. I don't mind hosting people just passing through (it's no problem at all in fact), but I will also likely decline to host you if need to show up late in the evening and plan on leaving early the next morning. I want to have some interaction with my surfers on some level, not just be a free motel. All that aside, I am happy to host!
Greetings 👋🐸🏳️🌈 I’m Kaisa (rhymes with Nice-uh). I’m mid-forties queer female and I love exploring Seattle! I’m in the process of relocating and feeling giddy about it! I’m really looking forward to clouds and drizzle because it is effing hot in Boise. I have two grown sons who adore the outdoors and traveling as much as I do. I have a disability: EDS (Ehlers-Danlos), so sometimes I can work and do the things I love, and sometimes I just have to rest. I’m looking forward to meeting fun, chill people, going out for drinks, strolls, events, etc.
Hi, I live in Boise, Idaho for about 3 years, I am from Russia very charismatic and friendly person!

I’m James. I’ve been in Boise for twenty years and love to share it with visitors. I’m pretty introverted but it doesn’t show. Like to write short stories, barfly style, definitely a night owl. Vegetarian and liberal but not preachy. Have two shy cats. Love books, the Japanese TV show Gaki no Tsukai, conversations with sassy but considerate people. Burningman friendly. My house is a safe space for anyone who comes through. My philosophy of Couchsurfing is that I have the room so I should share and travelers are my tribe. Caveats: sometimes too busy to hang out. Sometimes you’re on a schedule. Both are okay. 😀 I support equality for all, so won’t be a good fit for sexists, racists, LGBTQ phobics or anyone that supports the concept that one group is inherently better than another. I will not tolerate antisemitism or Anti Palestinian sentiment. I believe deeply in a free Palestine. 🇵🇸
*The description below is from a journey I took in the United States in 2015. I will be updating this soon for my trip to South Korea (2019)! Cheers.* Greetings fellow travelers! My name's Mike, and I'm currently on a cross country trek that began in June (2015). I'm heading to the Pacific NW from New England, working and eating my way from sea to shining sea. So far, my trip has been mostly been facilitated through WWOOF and workaway.info, two organizations with work-exchange opportunities (working in exchange for room and board). I've met some amazing people from all over the country and the world, and I've learned so much. CS was recommended to me by a few of my fellow travelers on the road. So far, I've CouchSurfed in three states, Nebraska, Colorado, and Idaho. P.S. You can see more about my journey on my Workaway profile. http://www.workaway.info/workawayerprofile.html?w=saharahumerus
I am from India and recently moved to Boise, Idaho, after living and working in Singapore for 10 years. I love meeting new people, sharing stories, and learning about different cultures. I enjoy conversations about travel experiences, local life, politics, sports, and farming.
Based in Boise but I'm not able to host at the moment! Currently on the move to go do nothing in the middle of nowhere. Happy to hang if we're in the same place at the same time though!
CURRENT MISSION (NEW - Feb 2026) This too shall pass, even the good stuff. (OLD - June 2019) Be Happy. Everything else will be okay. (OLD & NOW) Empower children with life skills and values, beginning with my daughter. I speak to children (professionally) teaching life skills and values through the game of disc golf at youth organizations like the YMCA and Boys & Girls Clubs. For more information: BeGreatIAmGreat.com, DiscGolfHeaven.com ABOUT ME I am a seeker and a storyteller. I believe in myself. I think I know what I don't know... but do I, really? PHILOSOPHY Be Great, You Are Great! My parents empowered my as a child and it showed up as cocky when I was young. After a family tragedy, years of recovery, and the revelation that nothing is guaranteed, I am pursuing my dream. Go after yours. I believe you can. I know you can. Find inspiration - it's everywhere! Former 'About Me' - Prior to Feb, 2016: CURRENT MISSION Play as many disc golf tournaments around the world as possible! ABOUT ME I am a (former) portrait photographer so I really enjoy people. My best friend has travelled to Europe many times and I am so jealous of him. I would love to take my wife on a trip to see more of the world than just the Northwest of the US. I (used to and may again) play disc golf a lot. Let me rephrase that, I am a disc golf junky! It is like crack for me. The more I play, the more I need it. I am planning a few trips this year - Arizona, Washington, California, and possibly Michigan for Worlds! My first trip is Scottsdale, Arizona in the beginning of March, so that is where I am seeking a couch first. I found this site on a disc golf forum and it sounds like a great way to help others out while traveling and meet some new people on the road. I can't wait to see more of the world and play some great disc golf courses! PHILOSOPHY You are what you think. By believing in that which does not exist, I create it!
I am a Mother, A Nurse, A Teacher, A community member and spend most my time adventuring with children at this time. I am excited to be back on couch surfing, as I have many wonderful memories using this site. I have hosted a lot more than traveled, I am hopping to find my old account to get back in touch with people I have meet through the years.
I graduated from Emerson College in Boston, MA in May of 2018 with a BA in Visual & Media Arts, as well as a double minor in Psychology and Hearing & Deafness. After taking time off to travel, I plan on going back to school for my MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
Broadway pilgrim. Photographer. Music nut. Spectacular vernacular. Nomad. Tea hoarder. Culinary. // I am clumsy uni student who is attempting to replace all blood in her veins with coffee and is suffering from wanderlust. I'm an old soul with a young heart. Music is my life, international relations, politics, and art are my bread and butter, and poetry keeps me sane. If you're visiting my profile to look for a couch, I advise you as well to read the 'My Home' section. Most of all because I like to think it's fun to read, but to know what your experience will be like!
