CURRENT MISSION Preparing to send our oldest son off to Vancouver to start university! ABOUT US We are a family of four (Matt, Margi and our two sons, Kiernan and Eli.) We usually live in Berkeley, California - but we have been lucky to traveled a lot as a family - 6 months in Italy, France and Spain in 2010, and 4 months in Argentina, Chile and Brazil in 2014. Matt works on sustainable transportation planning and global climate protection for the Mayor of Oakland, California. Margi is a consultant to grassroots social justice and environmental organizations. Kiernan is 18 and loves dance, soccer, and reading. Eli is 16, and loves to dance (modern and hip hop) and youth politics. PHILOSOPHY Be open to the world as it is, and brave enough to improve it.
