During my two-year stint in Europe, I was able to surf and host quite a number of times, and those are often the trips that stand out the most when I think back on all my travels. Sites like this make traveling even more awesome than it already is, by giving you the possibility to make connections with people who perhaps you would never have met otherwise. I've learned at least one new thing (and usually more than that) from every host or surfer I've had!

- Visiting Machu Picchu: despite the hype, it was seriously one of the most incredible things I've ever done - Seeing Mt. McKinley in Alaska: we got really lucky and had a perfectly clear, sunny day, so we could see the entire mountain from bottom to top; it almost moved me to tears it was so incredible!
