I'm a nurse with a history of working in humanitarian aid, now enjoying a quieter life in the Japanese countryside. Often I am busy with a DIY project, fixing up the old akiya (empty house) we bought. I also run my own home server for fun. When I'm not tinkering with technology or wood, I'm passionate about diving—I'm an Advanced Open Water diver and after a hiatus have recently been exploring some amazing sites in Okinawa.
