ABOUT ME I love it here! Kindred folk, creative compassionate spirits! My name Is Jon, short for Jonathan Nice to meet you. I'm fun Loving, Honest, Sympathetic and empathetic. I love to travel, experience new things and meet new people, to hange out and converse. A musician half the year, I am gentle, generous, creative and spirited, I have a natural aversion to routine and mundane 9 to 5 everyday life. I was born in Montreal to a family of 5 people, My parents worked in the clothing industry and are retired now. My brother in an accountant and I am the youngest of 4. I live by myself in a nice apartment though. I have been playing music now for over 10 years, I recently recorded my second album and have begun to tour it. It is like indie rock with a tinge of pink floyd like psychedelia with a ghandi like lyrical message of peace and hope. I was on tour all year last year! I love meeting new people and learning about them and their lives, I am very outgoig and easy to talk to. Lots of that comes from travelling which I have done all around the world (Asia, Central America, Africa And Europe.) This is my second trip to Europe and first time on tour there and I am very excited about it! PHILOSOPHY Treat others as you yourself would like to be treated. After that everything falls into place.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I have a beautiful loft apartment place in Montreal's trendy neighbourhood called Mile end. Tons of space and a beautiful view for those interested in stopping into this awesome city. Lots of couch space, clean and tidy too. Check out the pics. Oh I have a cute cat named Hollie too! named after the character from breakfast at tiffany's. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE Again, I am still fairly new to the couch surfing thing and to my detriment I must say I have never hosted anyone through this site although I have hosted tone of people just through my connection and friends and other musicians on the road as well.

Mind altering book for me was siddartha by herman hesse, music is too much to mention all pop music, jazz, too many names, Indie rock is what I play, with a singer songwriter taste to it.

Travelling, especiallt this tour which has taken me across the country and across the united states from west to east. All done on a greyhound bus!! It has been such an enriching experience, its hard to put it into words.

I Can share my knowledge of music, how to play an instrument from guitar, drums and piano to singing and accordeon. I can do Thai Yoga Massahge and meditation and would be open to teaching this too, In fact i do very often show people how to meditate. I am a whizz with computers too! I would benefit from people's knowledge of their own environments and population. I have an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and especially in new places so I would definitely like for them to eahc me more about where I am.
