I was privileged to witness a space shuttle launch in person. I've watched as many launches on TV or online as I could, but remarkable as that experience can be, it pales in comparison to FEELING the roar of the rockets before you can hear it. Even though I'm not as religious as some folks, I was also awed by the palpable feeling of holiness surrounding the sites of the western world's major religions, in such remarkable proximity to one another in Jerusalem.
