HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I've been unable to host as of yet, but I have been able to give some advice to couch surfers heading to NYC. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE The travel bug bit hard when i was lucky to be guided around the Yucatan in a converted school bus by Carl and Steve (of "People's Guide to Mexico" fame) during high school. Thank you Mr. McGowan! Since then i've managed to scramble over all manner of couch, hammock, floor, water bed and back yard. I've also been able to return the favor. Last two places i've lived (Paris and NYC) are fairly popular layover locations for all the people i've met from around the world. I guess this site just formalizes the experience and opens it wide open as well.

i'm kind of a flibbertigibbet when it comes to narrowing this topic down. Sometimes i think i should have just picked a few. As it is, fun of all sorts interests me. often the things that involve getting up and moving around. Hiking, surfing, dancing, exploring, caving, hang gliding, sledding, slipping, sliding and swimming. Also love to read, eat, talk, gesticulate wildly, stargaze, learn new languages, whalewatch, sunset/rise-watch and stare into the fire.
