It's been great hosting couchsurfers and going couchsurfing so far. Everyone's been super friendly and respectful and interesting and had great stories. COUCHSURFING IS GENIUS!

Books: Geek Love, Emotional Intelligence, The Wind Up Bird Chronicle, The Savage Detectives, Orlando, Kindred, Anna Karinina, Motherless Brooklyn, almost every word that Pema Chodron has written, and pretty much any non-fiction radical perspectives on history and politics and everything else Music: The Mountain Goats, Alt J, Manu Chao, Kendrick Lamar, Smog, Mexican Institute of Sound, Moon Hooch, Joni Mitchell, Hurray for the Riff Raff, etc (and I will seriously dance my face off to any pop music, I will do it!) Movies: Kill Bill Volume 1, Blow-Up, City of Lost Children, Neverending Story, The Usual Suspects, Her, Saving Face, The Crying Game, The Endless Summer....etc etc

Ultimate frisbee, racquetball, rockclimbing, playing alto saxophone, obsessing over the news, doing crosswords even though they're kind of stressful, laying in the sun in a park, keeping up on politics, arting, reading, traveling, theater, living cheaply, playing the gee-tar and ukulele and charango, hiking, swimming in water holes with my dog, hanging out with my wife as much as humanly possible while maintaining my own identity, being with my friends, radical queer jewish anti-racist politics.
