Suzanne Couture was born in Montreal, Canada and graduated in "Esthetique de Presentation" at the College du Vieux-Montreal. She moved to New York City in 1982 and started a career in modelmaking. In 1984, she established her studio: Suzanne Couture Modelmaking, a prop and art fabrication for advertising, displays, trade shows and special events. She soon gained recognition. DeBeers, Van Cleef & Arpels, Henry Bendel, Godiva, Hermes de Paris, New York Times Magazine, Sony and Coca Cola are among her clients. As a public artist she is proud to have participated to the 2000 NYC Cow Parade and created the cows for Cartier, CBS and Pepperidge Farm. She not only applies her aesthetic sensibility to each piece she produces — she applies it to all of her passions which include: dancing tango and swing, exploring nature and the adventurous side of sports. "I believe that art and beauty should be an integral part of daily life.
