To meet new people, experience the real local culture and save money (at least I'm not lying).

My favourite books are trashy Sci-fi ones which I can devour in a sorry amount of time. They temporarily transport you to another reality whilst using very little brainpower. Think The Dresden Files or the Daughter of Smoke and Bone series, luckily I have an old book group who regularly recommend books outside of this genre to keep me balanced. I've just read Do Not Say We Have Nothing which was a beautiful story which also gave me an amazing insight into China under Chairman Mao. I can watch most films or series. I usually go for comedy, horror or thriller. Love OITNB, Game of Thrones and anything that'll make me jump.
