Hi! I'm a friendly, easy going human from the North-west of England. I live with my wife and 2 year old son. I work for Veganuary and so naturally love all things plant-based and I'm passionate about the environment. I love to write fiction, create music and I enjoy creativity in its many forms. I like to climb, read, hike, run, cycle and play the odd video game. My board game collection is also considerable, and I'm always up for a game with friends or strangers.

The community aspect of Couchsurfing is wonderful. I love meeting new people and discovering new places; Couchsurfing combines both perfectly. I've not been on in a while, but some of my favourite travel experiences have been through this website.

Some of my favourite musicians include: The Album Leaf, American Football, Cherry Ghost, Radical Face, Tycho, The National, M83, Bon Iver, TTNG. Films that I love: The Station Agent, Coherence, Primer, Princess Mononoke, Wall E, Beasts of the Southern Wild, Mulholland Drive, Leon, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. A few of my favourite books: Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak, Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami, Mockingbird by Walter Tevis, Flow My Tears, The Policeman Said by Philip K. Dick, The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger, Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell, Galapagos by Kurt Vonnegut, and One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez.

I will happily share my time and engage in conversation. There's also my brew making skills, and I'm happy to share my experience in animation, art and music. I played guitar with the 8 year old son of the last host I stayed with, which was lovely (and hilarious).
