I'm on Couchsurfing because I think it's an incredible way to make some genuine connections. Not only is it a great way to meet such interesting and different people, but it helps in making some parts of traveling inexpensive. I think the concept of opening your home to people from all over the world, on the basis of love for travel and culture, is such an experience!
