I love adventuring, big adventures, little adventures and very rarely say no to trying something new.

Dlaczego jestem na Couchsurfing

I am moving to Osaka, Japan in January and working as an English language instructor, it is definitely my biggest adventure yet! I would like to meeg people in Osaka as i will be moving away alone and although I try not to be I can sometimes be shy. My apartment won't be ready until a week after my arrival in Japan and I would be really grateful to meet a few friendly faces and grace a few couches. Also once I am settled in my apartment I would love to have people to stay and share my adventure.

O mnie

I currently work as a speech and language therapy assistant, helping stroke patients to regain communication skills. I also work in a college supporting students with physical and learning disabilities. I love any job that allows me to get to know people, I love hearing peoples' stories and learning from what they share.

I graduated from the University of Manchester in 2012 with BAhons in Linguistics and English Language and Psychology.

Muzyka, filmy i książki

My favourite author is Kurt Vonnegut. I also really enjoyed a lot of Paulo Coelho's books and Kazuo Ishiguro. As well as non fiction I really enjoy reading about the brain and the mind. I like loads of music, there's not a lot I won't dance to. I particularly like really funky music with big brass bands and electro swing. A few of my favourites are Dizraeli and The Small Gods, Skeewiff, Parov Stelar, Riot Jazz, The Pixies, Chinese Man and The Young Blood Brass Brass Band. I am also pretty open minded when it comes to films, although I'm terrible with horror films.

Jedna niesamowita rzecz, którą zrobiłem/am

I ran a night shelter once a week for destitute asylum seekers for nowhere else to go. It was the thing I am most proud of and loved every minute of it. I learnt some amazing things and love hearing about the progress some of the men are making.

Anything I could possibly teach, share or learn I will be more than happy to offer or receive. I try to stick to a gluten and dairy free diet and I am building up a collection of recipes for delicious puddings that I would happily share. I am a very open person and would always try and answer any questions and the things I don't know we could work out together!

Moje zainteresowania

I love socialising pretty much in any form. I enjoy cooking and sharing food and joined various community food groups doing cook ups and giving out free food, cooking for destitute asylum seekers and I even did a naturist ginger beer brewing workshop! I have taken up yoga in the past year and go to at least two classes a week, if anyone could recommend any good yoga classes in Osaka that would be fab.
