I grew up in Cornwall, southwest England, studied for five years at the University of Leeds and have since worked on civil engineering projects in a variety of locations in England. Having also travelled extensively in Britain I feel I know the country very well. International Travelling came to me late, not starting until I was 24, but it has since become a very important part of my life. My travelling style is to avoid tourist hoards at all costs and "go native" to the greatest possible extent - cultural immersion! I like to see places for what they really are, good and bad, rather than the purified mass tourism perspective. Travel by independent means - car, motorbike, bike - is my favourite, but I enjoy travelling by train and prefer to avoid buses. In terms of my character, as hard as it is to describe yourself, I am polite, reserved and have a dry sense of humour. I am inquisitive and keen to learn new things, and I enjoy stimulating conversation. Finally, I am considerate and respectful, and always clean and tidy!

Dlaczego jestem na Couchsurfing
When travelling I always like to venture beyond the tourist trail to experience real-life in host countries, meet the local population and discover hidden places. I hope to start my Couchsurfing career whilst travelling around Europe this summer and I look forward to reciprocating on my return.
Jedna niesamowita rzecz, którą zrobiłem/am
Drive my old Mondeo from England to Bamako, Mali, where the car remains with its new owner!
