My name is Jessica Jansma, and I am a student at a small university in Arkansas. I grew up in both Manaus, Brazil and Lynden, Washington (two very different cultures, I know)---but I have both places deeply embedded in my soul. I have a big given family (whom I love dearly) and a big chosen family (whom I also love dearly). These are the things that make up 'me'.

I created this account because I deeply value the stories of others, exploring different corners of the world, and living life with added 'spice'. I hope that through my experiences CouchSurfing I will understand more about my own tendencies to love and learn through the people I meet and the places I see.
