I am delighted to be back in the eastern U.S. since January 2020 after 35 years "stuck" in California. Just 30 miles from the Canadian border, and ~45 minutes' drive to Lake Ontario - this is Amish Country where cycling is great with gently rolling hills and a shoulder wide enough for the horse-drawn buggies, and passing drivers acutely aware of not wanting to spook the horses (or bicycles with only a minimal amount of manure-dodging). My home was at the hydroelectric plant - and although the residence building was struck by lightning and gutted by the fire on June 23, 2024, you are welcome to pitch a tent on the property and use the powerhouse electricity there. OR it may be possible for you to stay at my BF's trailer 3 miles away OR as of the 1st of August 2025, I may invite you to stay at my new home in Watertown - depending on the status of refurbishing. The canoe/kayak portage around the hydroelectric passes right by your camp site. One of these days, I will make the water trip with my friend from here to Lake Ontario. CURRENT MISSION Wherever my job takes me (New Hampshire! no option to say "traveling" only "not hosting" 'cuz I'm not at my place), I prefer to hang with the locals. ABOUT ME Addicted to international student exchange and meeting locals when I travel or others who come to my community.
