Myself and my boyfriend Michael (30) are a couple from Scotland who’ve left behind our jobs and lives in Edinburgh to travel the world together. We’ve been on the road for a year so far and are still loving every minute. We hope to have many more great experiences and make loads of new friends along the way... I’ve left behind a job as a pharmacist, and Michael was a programmer/risk analyst for a bank. Now we’re nomads and love it!! We love to exercise so anyone who can show us some good hikes around their home would be appreciated. We’re also massive foodies - it’s always what we’re most excited about when entering a new country. We love to learn new skills and experience a new culture, especially from the locals. We’re fun and always on the go, and love having a spontaneous experience. We’re pretty planned and organised with our travels, but the spontaneous stuff is always the best!

Dlaczego jestem na Couchsurfing
We’re hoping to travel for at least a year, and meeting new people on Airbnb has been amazing so we thought Couchsurfing would give us more of that (plus help our budget!). We love to experience a new place with the locals and learn new things. When we return to Edinburgh we’d love to return the favour :)
Muzyka, filmy i książki
We like a bit of everything... Gaslight Anthem and Stereophonics though we’ve not had much time for new music recently Michael’s favourite film is The Matrix, mine constantly changes Impatiently waiting on the final GoT series to be released, and watch a lot of TV shows on long bus or plane journeys. Billions and WestWorld most recently. At the moment we’re mostly reading travel blogs and guides but love any genre. Our favourite is Stephen King, and I could read Harry Potter anytime. I love getting a book recommendation!
Jedna niesamowita rzecz, którą zrobiłem/am
The most amazing thing we’ve done is to leave behind the life we had to travel for a few years. It’s given us immeasurable happiness and we are so grateful to everyone who has been a part of it. Our Shaolin Kung Fu camp in China was also pretty cool.
Ucz, Ucz się, Dziel się
We learned a little Mandarin in China and would love to be fluent so are trying to practice when we can - hopefully we’ll return to China and learn properly. We always learn some basics whenever we enter a new country and love to talk to the locals. Before we left home we learned to Scuba Dive (not an easy task in Scotland in January) so are excited to dive soon in better conditions! We love to learn about new places, cultures, foods...so would be happy to have hosts who can teach us what they know.
