I went from Bangkok to Vang Vieng without phone, map or anything, miss the right stop for Vientiane, walk in no man's land for two hours, found a gas station, completely impossible too talk with (no english, no thaī, no french), finally found the border Thaīland/Laos, meet a Japanese who was sure about looking like Johnny Depp who came with me 4h hours bus away from his destination, having party on the Mekong and finally finish the day with 6 New Zealander, great time.
