CURRENT MISSION To travel and photograph as much of the world as possible. ABOUT ME Married for 21 years to my beautiful wife Elaine. We live 15 minutes outside Coeur d' Alene. My wife and I own The Big Picture Portrait Studio in CDA and have been doing professional portraits and misc photography related jobs for 25 years. My wife was a travel agent when we met and we both have the travel bug. Besides traveling I have become obsessed with woodturning and spend a lot of my spare time in the shop at the lathe. My wife loves to cook and watch all of the great cooking shows that are on these days. PHILOSOPHY Life is too short not to travel the world. Live, Love and Laugh!

Dlaczego jestem na Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING We are planning a trip to Maine (2014) and Japan hopefully in (2015). We are trying to spend a minimum of a month in each of these places. To try and make our money go as far as possible we are trying to meet like minded people. We have an extra bedroom in our home (sleeps 2) and could fit one more on the couch. If you like to camp we have a beautiful garden with plenty of room and we are in a very quite neighborhood. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE My sister is a member and I got the idea from her. She has hosted a few visitors with very positive results and she recently went to London with her son and also had very positive experiences.

When I first graduated from trade school I worked as a lighting director for a sound and lighting company out of Seattle. I spent three years traveling with national touring acts. The biggest act I got to work on was with a tour with Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings and one night Johnny Cash did a duet with Brooke Shields. I wish I was into photography at that time, I could have gotten some amazing images.

I love sharing photography with others. Much of our travels are arranged around the places I would like to photograph. I would be happy to share my knowledge on locations and how to related questions related to photography. I am also interested in sharing and learning as much about woodturning. My wife is an excellent cook and it is always fun to see her collaborate with others who love to cook as well.
