I grew up in New Zealand with 4 passions - nature, travelling, dogs and swimming. I spent my young years in New Zealand and then I was lucky to get a scholarship to the United States to be a professional swimmer for their university, which happened to pay for my degree! I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Conservation. I've represented New Zealand internationally for swimming for 7 years, however, I have now retired my athletic life to pursue further academics and find a job that I love! I am home in New Zealand at the moment, working full-time as a swimming teacher for children. I am saving money to move back to the States to get a Masters in Business - specialising in sustainable management.

Dlaczego jestem na Couchsurfing
I LOVE travel. I always have an I always will. My bank balance hates it - but YOLO. Seriously, YOLO!!! I am lucky enough to have travelled internationally a lot. Through a combination of family travel, back packing with friends, and competing around the world as a professional swimmer, I'm fortunate to have a full passport.... Well. Now that I am home, it is time to explore my home and be a tourist in my own country! I am desperately trying to save money, hence I am interested in Couchsurfing - and I feel especially safe trying this out for my first time in New Zealand!
Muzyka, filmy i książki
I am obsessed with American Country music.... some would call it the Modern Country Pop, but I love it! My university was in Alabama and the moment I moved there, I was surrounded by country.... now it's the only thing I'll listen to! Not a huge movie person, but I love rom-coms! My favourite book I've ever read was the Poisonwood Bible. Very powerful and thought-provoking. A rewarding read!
Jedna niesamowita rzecz, którą zrobiłem/am
I am a founding member of a non-profit organisation called Pups on the Plains. Check us out on Facebook, Instagram and google - we are so proud of our work!!!! In 2017 a group of 4 female, full-time students and I started saving dogs listed for euthanasia. It started small; fostering and caring for dogs in our college-apartments until we found adopters. However, it rapidly developed into a massive ordeal. It’s recognised across many states, followed by thousands and supported by our City Council and numerous local businesses. We as the founders and sole organisers, manage everything ourselves including fundraising, fostering, adoptions, legal documents, finances, social media and web pages, event management, promotional work and more. To date we have saved over 75 dogs. There is nothing more rewarding than watching an abused, neglected dog, grow into a loving, forgiving delightful animal who then gets adopted by people who are going to give the dog the love they deserve, forever!!!!!! ..... if you ask me about this I WILL talk your ear off, I really do love it so much!
