I’m a tech worker who recently moved to the US and landed in the Bay Area. I grew up far from this continent, so every weekend right now feels like a small expedition. I’m slowly mapping America one strange road trip at a time. My obsession is the back-of-the-map kind of place: ghost towns, forgotten mining camps, gas stations that haven’t sold gas in forty years, slot canyons you have to squeeze through sideways. The more remote and overlooked, the better. I’d rather drive six hours to a town with a population of 12 than spend a weekend in a city I’ve already seen on a postcard.

Meeting new people always excites me. I sometimes find that lost passion and soul through conversations with new people. Understanding the lifestyles, interests, and ingesting the beauty of such diversity into my world is the reason, i have chosen couch surfing.
