I'm goofy. I've been traveling with my family since I was a kid, but now I live in Chile, so I'm doing it mostly on my own. I'm in my third year of university at Georgetown in the USA, but, well, it's going to be hard to convince me to go back. I've been studying abroad for over 6 months, so I'm on a tight budget, which is why I am looking to couchsurf. I make some damn good eggs, and am especially famous for gringo pancakes and cookies. Friends in Chile call me la gringa chilena, la gringa salsera or abuelita. I love to dance (salsa and bachata), cook, knit, garden, and exercise. I'm outside as much as I can. I am currently traveling to begin research for my thesis, which will study community-based tourism run by the Mapuche in Chile and the Maasai in Kenya. It's a long trip, but an exciting one, so I'm looking to save money any way I can.

Dlaczego jestem na Couchsurfing
I traveled alone through hostels in Argentina and Uruguay and loved making new friends. I take joy in cooking with people, singing, dancing, and sharing so I thought this would be a good way to do it. I am also a student so...that should explain it all.
Jedna niesamowita rzecz, którą zrobiłem/am
I hanglided over Rio de Janeiro when I was 12. The only scary part of running and jumping off the cliff. Once you're floating, you're just floating; it seems like there's no way you could possibly fall. I'm pretty young, so I hope I'll have more amazing things to share, but for now, that's pretty far up there.
Ucz, Ucz się, Dziel się
Teach: a bit of French, knitting Learn: I'd love to learn Portuguese! It's the next language on my list. Share: Food, a bottle of wine, jokes, some long and silly stories about my awkwardness
Co mogę zaoferować Hostom
A lot of laughs, some songs, three languages, cooking (I'd be happy to cook a meal to thank someone for letting me sleep over!!), an exercise buddy, knitting skills, a batch of cookies, and a listening ear to any stories you may feel inclined to share.
Moje zainteresowania
I study Political Science, Sustainable Tourism, and African Studies. I also LOVE learning languages, which is part of why I'm in Chile! I also sing, dance, read, garden, knit, cook, travel, swim, weight lift, write, eat, and sleep. I'm also knitting a big quilt with yarn from all the places I've visited in Chile, so I'd love to have contributions or participation if you know anyone selling yarn!
